TalkComms, a Pan-African storytelling and professional development platform, has announced the launch of TalkComms Founder Circle Cohort 01, an intensive two-day masterclass designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world communication practice.
The masterclass, Scheduled for July 24–25, 2026 in Lagos, is a structured high-touch, industry-led learning experience that will bring together 30 application-screened and selected students from Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Linguistics, and related disciplines across Nigerian universities.
These selected students will work on live communication challenges, receive direct feedback from practicing professionals, and gain exposure to the realities of modern media, public relations, brand strategy, and digital communication. The TalkComms masterclass will also feature sessions led by experienced industry practitioners, including Rahaman Abiola, the Editor-in-Chief, Legit.ng; , Chinwe Michael, Head of Companies & Markets, Business Day; Hassan Uthman, Founder, the HOU Co and Ibilola Ogunnaike, PR Advisor, MTN who will guide participants through campaign thinking, content strategy, crisis communication, brand storytelling, and live presentation critiques.
“We hosted the maiden edition of the TalkComms summit last year and we learnt something interesting. That summits are not enough. Beyond talking about the problems we are facing, we need to actively engage in the work to address them. Founder’s Circle is that work” said Oluwasegun Ogundairo, the founder and convener of TalkComms. “Participants will also receive a programme certificate, strategy framework materials, access to the founding TalkComms community, and priority positioning for the larger TalkComms Summit scheduled for November 2026.
